NJT New Jersey Transit
Hudson-Bergen, NEW JERSEY

A prominent addition to the New Jersey Transit system and the Newark City Subway, Kinkisharyo's low-floor design vehicles connect people from Bayonne to Jersey City and Hoboken, as well as north and west into Bergen County. The Light Rail Vehicle system solved commuter demands in an already congested area so close to Manhattan with easy, efficient connections to the PATH trains. It continues to be an enormous benefit to the Hudson River area as urban redevelopment has expanded quickly and beyond all expectations.

The importance of this new system would become vital in the post 9/11 world when many large institutions relocated to New Jersey from Lower Manhattan . As a result, the ridership tripled and Kinkisharyo was called on to expand the fleet of vehicles to 73 LRV's to meet the growing commuter demands. Assembling the cars locally in the Hudson-Bergen Operation & Maintenance facility, we delivered the cars.and as always, we delivered them ahead of schedule, continuing our 100% on-time delivery record. With great commercial and residential growth continuing to reshape the New Jersey landscape, Kinkisharyo vehicles will be more important than ever to these thriving communities.
